The recordngs cover nearly 30 sugar mills and hundreds of stationary engines, together with associated equipment much of it dating from the 1920s and 30s. This is a unique record of operations at a variety of cane sugar mills

This was one of the once numerous steam hauled narrow gauge railways in northern China.

This DVD is a tribute to the people who operated the railway and brought in the logs that it carried in its final season.
