World TV Standards
PAL was the 625-line (50 Hertz, 625/50) colour TV system used in the UK, most of Europe, Australia, New Zealand and China.
NTSC was the 525-line (60 Hertz, 525/60) system used in North America and Japan.
France and Russia used the SECAM (50 Hertz, 625/50) system, but are able to view 'PAL'* DVDs.
We supply all titles suitable for PAL or NTSC countries at the same price. We will make an assumption based on your address, but if you want a disk in a different format please email us.
Note
If your country is 'NTSC'* but you have a multi-standard DVD player and TV, so that you can play 'PAL' DVDs; we suggest that you order 'PAL'* copies, as the picture quality will be slightly better!

* Strictly speaking, a DVD isn't 'PAL' or 'NTSC', as those terms specify colour coding methods; but most people use 'PAL' as a shorthand for 625/50 and 'NTSC' as a shorthand for 525/60. The above list is of analogue TV transmission standards - like DVDs, digital TV transmission (DVB-T) is not 'PAL' or 'NTSC', but does usually follow the original analogue line & frame rate.
