This recording shows many different examples of aqueducts, cuttings, tunnels, embankments and locks; recorded between 1982 and 1988 on canals throughout Britain. It forms a unique visual database of inland waterway engineering features in use, which was used as a laser disk interactive video display at the National Waterways Museum, Gloucester.
Archive tape number and timecode are displayed in-picture to enable each item to be identified. These numbers are also used in the 15-page set of notes accompanying this DVD along with a brief description and grid reference for each location.
Produced for the National Waterways Museum at Gloucester.
